Year 3 Stone Age Dig!

Upon discovering a number of Stone Age artefacts the children loved investigating their findings and were full of questions about what they had found!

Year 3 teacher at Bourne Elsea Park Primary Academy Kate Aldiss said,

“The children have loved learning about the Stone Age this term. We have been exploring what people of the Stone Age would have eaten, how they would have hunted and foraged for their food and all about Mammoths and Sabre Tooth Tigers and so a discovery of artefacts only spurred on the children’s enthusiasm!”

The children diligently took on the role of archaeologists and carefully unearthed the artefacts. They then began to research similar real life artefacts on the internet before compiling detailed reports.
