Royal Wedding Tea Party

Dressed in red, white and blue, surrounded by bunting of the same colours and waving their flags, the whole school gathered together on long tables stretching the length of the playground in true street party style to play games, take part in traditional country dancing and eat cake, lots of cake!  The party was only interrupted for a brief moment at the sound of a trumpet fanfare in order to announce the arrival of two very special guests, the happy couple themselves (or maybe not!)  It was a fantastic way to prepare for the excitement of the actual wedding in St Georges chapel, Windsor Castle, the next day and one that the children will remember for a long time to come.  We wish the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and long and happy life together!
