Harry Potter trip!

For those hardened Harry Potter fans, this was a dream come true, for those new to the books and films, this was an opportunity to take a crash course in the stories, characters, scenery, costumes, film trickery and fan trivia!  From the moment the huge, ornate, wooden doors of the Great Hall opened to climbing onto the Hogwarts Express, the children were enthralled with the detailed exhibitions, interactive opportunities, informative displays and sheer magnitude of the studios and sets!  Cries of ‘Look, it’s Dumbledore’s office!’ or ‘I can’t believe I’m actually in the Great Hall!’ to ‘Wow! The real Hogwarts Wobbly Bridge!’ could be heard from start to finish, the children taking in every tiny detail and learning many new facts about the stories, the films and the magic. The children were immaculately behaved and true credits to their school.  Back in the classroom the children had already written letters to Professor Dumbledore, taken part in their own Sorting Ceremony and begun to learn how to play Quidditch so on their return they could not wait to get back to their learning after taking time to reflect on their incredible trip.  It can be safely said that many a new fan has been drawn into the world of Hogwarts!
