Christmas Service

The sound of traditional Christmas carols filled the church and the story of the Nativity was retold as angels, shepherds and kings gathered around the baby Jesus in his manger.

Mr Brunt, Head of School said, ‘The children always love coming to church but it is always extra special at Christmas time. It was lovely to see so much support from parents and carers and there was a wonderful atmosphere in Church.’

The children from Year 2-6 sang traditional Christmas hymns with favourites like, ‘Away in a Manger’ as well as learning some new songs such as, ‘The Wise Men from Afar.’

The festivities will continue over the next couple of weeks in the run up to Christmas at Elsea Park as the children celebrate Christingle, and look forward to their class Christmas parties, pantomime and a whole school Christmas dinner!
