Cracking Caythorpe!

Eagerly chatting to each other about the challenges and adventures to come they soon arrived at the activity centre to find out the long awaited news of who they would be sharing a dormitory with. After a busy few minutes of unpacking and getting to know their rooms and the site, the children met their PGL leaders for the afternoon’s first set of activities.  Over the next few days, they faced amazing, fun challenges including high ropes, giant swing, buggy building, archery and climbing.  Even though Storm Gareth was passing over, the high winds did not deter the children from showing incredible determination, team spirit and enthusiasm as they learned new skills, made new friends and achieved new heights.  Meals were consumed and even after dinner, thrilling games of ambush were played in the dark before sleepy heads hit their pillows.  All of the staff were incredibly proud of the way the children behaved throughout the trip and how beautifully they supported each other, especially for those who were on their first trip away from home.  Well done children for showing how amazing you are and we hope you are already packing for next year’s trip!
