Building Update - April

Side elevation, which also shows the Main Hall elevation. Each months sees progress taking shape at Elsea Park Primary.  Many of the external widows and doors are in place and the internal wall layout is installed.  Much of the work taking place just now is the erection of plasterboard sealing the walls, wiring and plumbing for the sprinkler system.

The building has plenty of natural light throughout and this makes the rooms appear bright and airy.  The materials being used are cutting edge in the building industry.  For example; the roofing system is made with special panels which house Main corridor leading to all the classrooms and hall. very thick insulating material.  The drainpipes are invisible and create an amazing finished edge to the roof.

The colourful external cladding will begin to be installed from 24th April.  Once the scaffolding has been taken down, in about a months time, the school will begin to look even more impressive.
