Stupendous Support for Special Shoe boxes

This year we decided to support the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal. Our aim as a school was to fill 6 shoeboxes with a variety of new gifts and essential items that a child will love; a child for whom this may be the only Christmas gift they receive this year through no fault of their own. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our parents and carers as we were able to not only fill the 6 boxes that we hoped for but a grand total of 19! The money needed for each box to cover shipping costs was kindly donated by families and the school staff. We packed the donated items into the pre-printed shoeboxes, given to us by Bourne Baptist Church. As we handed the completed shoeboxes to Sean Beaton from Bourne Baptist Church, who incidentally was spearheading the local Appeal, they left with our love and best wishes and a hope that the child who receives one of boxes will have the Christmas they have been praying for.
