Just Lincolnshire - diversity and equality

Jeanne Bain and Sue Ellis led them through activities exploring the nine Protected Characteristics of this Act, celebrating the diverse and unique qualities of humanity.  The children were encouraged to think about how differences and disabilities are not always visible such as Mental Health and how hate crimes can be punished in a court of law.  Some of the children made a presentation to their school as a result of these workshops whilst others have continued to feed their learning into the Peer Mediator schemes and their work for the Unicef Convention on the Rights of the Child, both of which were praised by the representatives of the Just Lincolnshire programme.  All children involved received certificates and pin badges and follow on workshops have already been planned for 2018!  Well done to the children and thanks to the Just Lincolnshire team for their invaluable teaching.
