Easter EGGstravaganza!

On Thursday 3rd of April there was a buzz of eggcitement as the children arrived at school with eggs for rolling, decorated Easter bonnets and decorated eggs for the various competitions. The day began with KS2 children attending Bourne Abbey church for their Easter Service whilst KS1 and Year 3 children celebrated the Easter story in a school based collective worship.

The day continued with the whole school having a cracking good time competing in an egg rolling challenge to see who could roll their egg the furthest with the least damage. Cheers egoed around the playground when each winner demonstrated their eggtastic rolling skills.

The highlight of the day however was a whole school gathering where children in all years had the opportunity to strut their stuff whilst wearing their eggclusive and eggoxtic creations. We saw Easter bonnets of all shapes and sizes including rabbits, chicks, chicken races and even a hand knitted one. We were all so impressed by the children’s efforts.

A massive thank you to the PTFA for organising an eggcellent Easter hunt around the school grounds. It was lovely to see the eggsuberant children getting their eggcercise as they searched for clues to complete an Easter crossword.

There were some eggquisite designs entered for the decorated egg competition and Mrs Emery had the eggstra difficult task of seleggting the winners from each year group.

An eggceptional day was had by all, we would to say thank you to the parents and school community for supporting their children with such enthusiasm and creative flair.
