Sorting Hat Ceremony

Following in the footsteps of Harry Potter and Hermione Grainger, they have donned their cloaks, waved their wands for the first time and stepped into the wonderful world of Hogwarts. As 1st year members of the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, they have had the excitement of opening their acceptance letters from non-other than Professor Albus Dumbledore himself and now they have experienced their very own Sorting Ceremony in the Great Hall.  After hearing excerpts of the story by J K Rowling, ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’ leading up to the point of the infamous ceremony, the children entered the Great Hall with trepidation, wondering which of the four Hogwarts houses (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin or Ravenclaw) the Sorting Hat would place them in.  With hope in their hearts they took it in turns to sit in the chair, with the Sorting Hat upon their heads.  Relief swept across their faces as they each heard the Hat announce their fate before their housemates gave rapturous applause.  They then faced their first house challenge, creating a poster to show the qualities of each house, whether it be loyalty, chivalry, dedication or cunning to name just a few.  All of this before embarking on the next stage of their adventures, visiting the Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studios, to see the world of Harry Potter come to life in front of their eyes! You could certainly say they are all hooked!
