Africa Day 2108

For one day only, no longer dressed in their traditional red and white, they were adorned in various versions of green, red and black, reflecting the colours of the Kenyan flag.  The reason for this was to celebrate our fabulous Africa Day in order to support and raise money for the Nyansakia Primary school, in particular this year, focusing on providing a water tank for the school and village. As always the children immersed themselves wholeheartedly and enthusiastically into the dressing up, activities and fundraising throughout the day.  The enriching activities ranged from making African masks and necklaces to playing enterprise games and making tinga tinga paintings.  African rainmakers were made and accompanied some wonderful African dancing as music from East Africa filled the corridors.  All in all, a rich and colourful day was had by all, in the name of raising money for an extremely important cause.  Well done!
